With the north-east expansion of the source town of Glessen, foundations were founded in the congestion horizon to which the town owes its numerous sources. The groundwater, which had previously seeped through the lime-rich loess, was brought together, drained into a ditch to the Abtsmühlenbach stream and collected by the Bach Association in January 2012
