In the Kiewit domain, Limburg.net and the city of Hasselt together realized the Center for Sustainable Greenery an Amber Garden. This is a showroom where you can discover how you can create a sustainable garden. You will see the latest techniques, you will receive guided tours and training and we will show you the way to specialists who can help you.

Every day, free to visit in the Municipal domain Kiewit - Putvennestraat 108 - 3500 Hasselt.

A traditional garden isn't always sustainable and can even be harmful to the environment. Moreover, it requires a considerable amount of work and time. An amber garden is all about less green waste, more space for nature, less intensive management, and lower maintenance costs.

In an amber garden, nature does the hard work. Birds and beneficial insects keep pests under control. Moreover, an amber garden produces minimal green waste. Whatever remains can be processed into compost, wood chips, a brushwood hedge, or a beautiful woven structure. Less waste means more time to enjoy your garden.
