The technical monument in front of the Offenburg University shows an express train locomotive of the class 18 323 (bad. IV h). The steam locomotives were delivered in various series between 1918 and 1920 to the Badische Staatsbahn (later Deutsche Reichsbahn). The one exhibited here was even in use on the Deutsche Bundesbahn until 1969.
