De Watersnip is the visitor center for those who want to know more about the Valley of the Zwarte Beek and who want to discover part of that valley in Koersel that extends to Diest. Various walks depart from there, there is a nature café and a nature shop. De Watersnip visitor center is owned by Natuurpunt and open all year round except during the Christmas holidays - the exact opening hours can be found at dewatersnip.weebly.com/informatie.html

Visitor centre De Watersnip is the ideal base for exploring the Zwarte Beek Valley. Various signposted walking routes start here. After a brisk walk, you can relax in the nature café. You can also go to the information desk with all your questions, including about the activities organised in the area. You will learn a great deal about the exceptional area and the species that live there, and you will also find nice books, gifts or gadgets on the theme of nature in the nature shop.
