The small village church, located on the main street, was built in 1791. Records indicate that a chapel stood on the same site as early as 1466. This chapel was destroyed in the 15th century but was likely rebuilt, as Saint Agatha is first mentioned as the church's patron saint in 1559. The current Protestant St. Agatha Church was built in 1791, incorporating parts of the old chapel; for example, the pointed arch portal on the south side of the church bears the date 1791. The interior of the church is remarkably simple.

The present-day Protestant St. Agatha's Church was built around 1800 without a chancel and with a flat roof, incorporating parts of the older chapel (pointed arch portal). It was renovated in 1959 and furnished with a stained-glass window in the chancel by Adolf Valentin Saile and a Resurrection scene (exterior wall) by Wilhelm Pfeiffer.
