The Magic Fountain of Montjuic (in Catalan, Font Màgica de Montjuïc), [1] or simply called Montjuic Fountain, is located in Plaça de Carles Buïgas, in the Sants-Montjuïc district, Barcelona. It is the main element of a set of plays of light and water that develops throughout the axis from the National Palace to the Plaza de España, which includes waterfalls and ponds and, in the lower part, rows of luminous columns on both sides of the avenue, nowadays replaced by illuminated jets of similar proportions and easier to maintain.

The fountain is located at the foot of the Palau Nacional and, like most buildings in its vicinity, was built on the occasion of the 1929 World's Fair on Plaça d'Espanya. The name is due to the interplay of forms (water), colors (light) and sound (music). On an area of 50 × 65 meters, about 2,600 liters of water are poured out of more than 3,600 nozzles per second.
