𝐺𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑘𝑢𝑛𝑔: Wolfersweiler
𝐹𝑙𝑢𝑟𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑒: Nauwald
𝐺𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑠𝑎𝑟𝑡: Lava 2 - rock
The broken stones from this quarry were used to build houses in Wolfersweiler until the 1950s. Stones from this quarry are used in many houses in the village. It was not particularly suitable for masonry because of the ability of the rock to decay. Therefore it was mostly used to fill ceilings. In the later years up to the turn of the millennium, the stones were still used as a substructure for building dirt roads. The quarry has been idle ever since. Source: Text information board

From here you have a good view of the quarry. The path up is rocky and rooty. ;)
