It was first mentioned in 1150 in the form of a three-nave basilica with a three-storey tower. The patronage right owned the Abbey Werden. In the years 1852-1854, the church was rebuilt to plans by Vincenz Statz, preserving the Romanesque tower from the 12th century.
Adjacent to the church you will find the cemetery with a view of the Rhine.
