Description of City Hall
Town Hall. Building on a rectangular plan, originally XVII, rebuilt XVIII. Bell gable, in front of which a platform with heraldic lions and a natural stone door frame, crowned by a broken pediment with a statue of Justice (XVII). On the roof a simple wooden bell tower. Council chamber with painted walls (Justitia scene and weapons, 1642 and 1768), as well as two filing cabinets from the 17th and 18th centuries, which were tailor-made for the former Municipal Chamber of the Water Board "De Ring van Putten".

The old town hall is now Museum Stadhuis Geervliet. It started in 1346 as a guest house with a chapel founded by Beatrijs van Putten. The building provided shelter for travelers, the poor and the sick. Around 1515 in use as town hall.
