Starting point for many passes: D902 over the Col de la Cayolle, D908 over the Col d’Allos, over Jausiers the Col de la Bonette, D900 / D902 over the Col de Vars.

Located at 1,135 meters (3,724 ft) altitude, Barcelonnette is the main town of the Ubaye Valley. The charming mountain village is definitely worth a visit and will surprise you with a few beautiful sights: the Manuel square with the colorful house facades, the Cardinalis bell tower from the 15th century or the Mexican (!) villas on the Avenue de la Liberation.
