The construction of the Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul cathedral in Nantes spanned 457 years, from 1434 until 1891.
Despite this construction spread over time, Saint-Pierre Cathedral retains a Gothic style that is coherent throughout the architecture.
Bombed in 1944 and then the victim of an accidental fire in 1972 and 2020, the cathedral has again offered, since the summer of 2021, guided tours outside the offices.
Since the facade has been restored, its whiteness is dazzling and the reflection of the setting sun in the late afternoon intensely colors the facade, a sight not to be missed when the weather is sunny.
