Located in the heart of the medieval town of Beaugency, the Château de Beaugency is a remarkable site. This 11th-century Loire Valley château was once owned by the lords of Beaugency, the French crown, and later the Dukes of Orléans.
Today, it houses a Digital Art Center and is one of France's leading cultural centers dedicated to digital art.

The exhibition in the castle has been newly renovated and shows you all kinds of medieval objects.
Opening hours:
In April, May, June, September and October the castle is open every day except Mondays from 10am to 6pm.
In July and August, the castle is open every day from 10 to 19 o'clock.

First used as a shelter for the poor and later as the department's holiday colony, the Musée de l'Orléanais, a regional museum of art and tradition, was eventually housed in the three-story wing of the château. In addition to various collections on the customs of Orléans and the surrounding area, memorabilia by the writer Eugène Sue are on display.
