If you follow the industrial route along Zwickauer Straße, you will find an old track system on property number 164, which is reminiscent of the era of the Chemnitz narrow-gauge tram. In a wagon hall from 1908, the Chemnitz Tramway Museum houses relics from a bygone era. The museum is looked after on a voluntary basis by the association "Straßenbahnfreunde Chemnitz e.V."
In the exhibition you will learn why the Chemnitz narrow-gauge trams used the unusual gauge of 925 mm, why an Englishman built the city's first horse-drawn tram line, how a tram "functions" and much more.

Very nice museum about the history of Chemnitz local transport. The museum is run on a voluntary basis by the Verein Straßenbahnfreunde Chemnitz e.V. It is well worth a visit.
