The trail can be reached by car from the detention bay above the Måbøtunnel. Sturdy shoes are strongly recommended because the tour leads partly over scree and overall is not to be underestimated.

There is probably no better way to experience Norway's most famous waterfall than to stand down here and let the drizzle drench you after a not-so-strenuous hike.

Absolutely sturdy footwear recommended. Anyone who lingers longer than a waterfall should have a rain jacket with them (lots of spray).
