The castle of Leiden is one of the oldest extant examples of a castle in the Netherlands. The building is located in the center of Leiden, where the two arms of the Rhine converge. The round structure is located on a motte, an artificial mound, and can be entered through a sandstone gate.
When you have walked the many steps, a beautiful view of the city awaits you.
