The people of Idstein call the perfectly and top-class restored property in the upper part of the old town “Das Schlößchen”. With good reason - because today's restaurant and hotel HÖERHOF was built by the builder of Count Nassau-Idstein, Henrich Heer, in the years 1620-1626 as his private residence. The counts had given the area to their court architect as a gift.

The Höerhof is a half-timbered house of the Idsteiner old town in the Hessian Rheingau-Taunus district. Due to its architectural style, it stands out from the surrounding half-timbered buildings. He is popularly called Toepferhaus. The facilities of the Höerhof are listed buildings and are home to a four-star hotel with a restaurant.
