The St. Severikirche is a five-nave gothic hall church. Here is the Severisarkophag of 1365, whose side walls show the life of the saint, worth seeing. The catholic church counts together with the cathedral to the landmark of the city Erfurt.

Severin was bishop of Ravenna (approx. anno 340). He was buried there with his wife Vincentia and daughter Innocentia. In the 9th century the relics of the saints were transferred to Erfurt and have been in St. Severi Church ever since.
