This forest reserve is only part of a much larger forest complex between the valley of the Gulp and the plateau. Most of the complex consists of private forest and extends across the language and national borders. The forest reserve itself includes historic native hardwood stocks. Except in a few specific zones, nature is allowed to take its course here and practically no management operations are carried out.

The largest part of Teuvenderberg consists of private forests and crosses both language and national borders. The forest reserve itself houses historical, indigenous deciduous trees. Except in a few specific areas, nature is given the space to develop freely here, and virtually no management measures are taken anymore.
