A really nice way, meandering through the Ruhr area and yet mainly through the green. In contrast to railway lines it is already the one or the other time uphill, but the fact that large parts were extra paved, rolls it very well.

The Parkway EmscherRuhr is a cycle path that connects the Henrichenburg ship lift in Castrop-Rauxel with the Kemnader Lake in Bochum. This makes it possible to reach the Ruhr in the south on a specially planned route from the Emscher in the north by bike.
If you want to relax while cycling and enjoy a beautiful view, then the Parkway EmscherRuhr is just the ticket for you. The path is mostly flat and paved, has few slopes and nice rest areas.

It is definitely worth it.

Unfortunately, there is no sign on one or the other corner that you can turn wrong.
