The Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire is part of a duo of châteaux that must be seen together: Chaumont-sur-Loire and Chenonceau. Indeed, these two châteaux were owned by Anne of Poitiers and Catherine de Medici (Catherine de Medici having forced Anne of Poitiers to give her her château—Chenonceau—and take hers—Chaumont).
Chaumont is also interesting for its aesthetic quality, but also for its setting (gardens, stables, hamlet, etc.) and the famous people who have stayed there (Proust, Sarah Bernard, the Sha of Iran, Germaine de Staël on the run, etc.).
This must-see attraction is not to be missed.

This impressive castle boasts several attractions. The castle's interiors have been extensively renovated and reflect the interior design of centuries past.

An international garden festival is held every year from April 20 to November 5, where various landscape gardeners can showcase their creativity. There is a historic park, and contemporary art is scattered throughout the grounds.

The Chaumont-sur-Loire estate is a castle, gardens, exhibitions, restaurants and much more... This year, 2022, the theme of the festival (30 years old) is "ideal garden". Magnificent place on the banks of the Loire, where you can, if you wish, take a boat ride with the Millière Raboton association
