With only a pedestal for a body and their identical faces, The Three Wise Men of De Panne defy wind and weather. With their monolithic shape they tower over the coastline.
The wiseguys look over each other's heads towards England, France and the interior respectively, with their gaze set on infinity. The thoughts, observations and enigmatic knowledge of their gigantic brain are probably an extension of those three areas, and extend much further.

These striking statues can, as it were, be placed in the same category as monuments such as the Statue of Liberty (New York) or Christ the Redeemer (Rio de Janeiro) thanks to their heroic-realistic nature. Originally, such images served as a signpost, but now they have become real must-sees. The three heads are also real smart-arses: they all stubbornly look in a different direction: towards France, England or the Belgian interior. Source: depanne.be
