The artist Simis emphasizes that he does not want to tell stories himself with this work. That is what the viewers should do, preferably each other. You should walk past the object and find yourself in it, stop and tell the stories that connect you to this wall. So Simis combines various objects from the interior, which the Nordstädter could submit in advance as photographs.

These two artists were also inspired by the drawings of the project participants and together they designed the house facade. Herbird Gröhlemeyer worked out the basic composition and Christian Müller took on the subtleties and coloring. They dedicate the resulting work of art to the future generations of the northern city.

This wall tells of stories and personalities that move the people of the Nordstadt: the story of a lost sandal that was only found again through perseverance. From a father who keeps the whole family together and always carries them with him in photos. About a boy who wants to keep playing football because of his idol, Neymar. From a musician who, thanks to Django Reinhardt, does not stop believing in his dreams. From the politician Lily Braun, who helped people help themselves. And from the model and women's rights activist Waris Dirie.
