The Schweitzertal, according to a legend, a giant lost the stones there with which he wanted to build a castle. However, it is not known where he wanted to build this.

The bridge appears to be part of the continuation of the Chemnitz Valley cycle path. This can be driven on in the middle, but I strongly advise against it, as the concrete elements are partly loose and only 30 cm wide. Deviating from it will certainly lead to serious falls. Anyone who does so does so at their own risk!

Currently, the complete renovation of both bridges has been completed and the side bypass cycle path has been completely completed and passable. There is still missing the Wegedeckensanierung between Markersdorf and Diethensdorf. Therefore, the way is currently still delivered with safety gate. These are of course open and way is used. The track is very mobile with MtB. Only the missing transition to the second bridge over the tracks requires a short descent. Care if the museum train drives. The path will officially open in November 2020 after completion of the topcoat.
