Cala di Lama Monachile takes its name from the bridge that crosses it but is also known as Cala Porto as it was used as a landing place for ships in ancient times. The view from this point is unique: the crystalline sea is framed by two rock walls overlooked by the houses of Polignano a Mare. You can also access the beach for a swim in the turquoise waters of the Adriatic.

Lama Monachile is a small beach in Polignano a Mare, located near the historic center of the city and set between two rocky walls. Its name derives from the presence in the past of the monk seal and it is one of the most photographed places on the Apulian coast. The beach is about 40 meters wide and is made up entirely of pebbles.
