The municipality's own Röperkate, long called "Blechkate" because of its roofing, is certainly one of the oldest buildings in Grönwohld, the dendrochronological report states that it was built in 1667 (deviation plus 14 years and minus 6 years). Although it contributes to the character of the town like hardly any other building, the cottage has been a major problem for many years due to its poor structural condition not only for the Grönwohlder municipal council. In recent years it has been extensively restored and looks really neat again .

The municipality's Röperkate (cottage), long called the "Blechkate" (tin cottage) because of its roofing, is certainly one of Grönwohld's oldest buildings. The dendrochronological report indicates its construction year as 1667 (a deviation of 14 years and 6 years). Although it contributes to the townscape like no other building, the cottage posed a major problem for many years due to its poor structural condition, not only for the Grönwohld municipal council. In recent years, however, it has been extensively restored and looks truly beautiful again.

It was built around the end of the 17th century as an agricultural workers' cate. The outer walls, originally made out of clay, were partly replaced by brick masonry around 1900, and only the compartments were bricked with fired bricks. A jewelry that stands in the middle of the village and is used as an event venue.
