On the southern outskirts lies the recreation area "Untreusee". Although the lake is artificially created, it fits into the soft, hilly landscape as if nature itself had produced it. A paradise for swimmers, sailors, surfers and fishermen, but also for hikers looking for peace and relaxation.

The Untreusee, named after the Untreubach that feeds it, was built between 1976 and 1979 as a leisure and recreational facility. Almost all water sports are allowed on the lake, which is around 2 kilometers long and 700 meters wide, with the exception of motor boats. The water depth at the man-made, 300-meter-long dam is about 15 meters.
