"... The Sorpe rises in the Lennegebirge in the Sauerland-Rothaargebirge Nature Park. Its source is in Wildewiese, a small district of Sundern, on the western slope of the Schomberg (647.6 m above sea level). Initially, the Sorpe flows mainly in a northerly direction through the Sundern districts of Hagen, Allendorf and Amecke into the pre-basin of the Sorpesees (Sorpalsperre). Shortly after flowing through the Sorpesees, after which the Sorpe runs through an approximately 100 m long canal, it flows into the Röhr on the southern edge of the Sundern district of Hachen . ... "
