Since 1897, the cog railway has been running up the highest mountain in Lower Austria. The ride up to the mountain station, which is at 1,800 meters, takes 40 minutes.

In summer, the nostalgic steam train also runs up the Schneeberg, this costs extra. More information is available at:

In good weather, the trip to the snow mountain with the cog railway is booming, but if you pre-ordered the tickets it should work - only, there are massive hikers on the way - Attention on the descent already plan the right departure time, we should have waited almost 3 hours , the short walk to the Baumgartner has not hurt, here then get a standing place to Puchberg station.
