"Green area behind the redoubt, which was laid out as early as the 1820s and later (1856) redesigned in the English style by a master gardener named Nelle for the new owner of the redoubt. The park extends over more than six hectares on the Mountain slope between the pretty Ballhaus and the Draitschbrunnen and offers visitors a number of rare tree species from many parts of the world. In 1920, the city of Bad Godesberg bought the redoubt - and the park as well."
