The beautiful view can be described in more detail. You can see the Deister from the left, the Ith at the very back, the Süntel with the Süntelturm in the middle, then the lovely Auetal with the pass road over to Hessisch Oldendorf and on the right, somewhat hidden by a row of trees, the Bückeberg. The Rodenberger Bürgerpark with the refuge and the natural history classroom can also be mentioned positively. Just amazing what there is to see!

From here you have a beautiful view of the surrounding country. The rapeseed fields are particularly worth seeing in early summer.

Windmill Rodenberg
Rodenberg's landmark is visible from afar on the hills of the city: the windmill. It was built in 1850 on the Old Rodenberg, directly above a pagan cult and sacrificial site. The mill is one of the most popular destinations in the area. Who wants to hike on the Rodenberg, which starts there. Worth seeing are the natural orchards and the Bürgerpark very close. From the hill there is a fantastic view of the northwestern tip of the Deister.
