The Wolf Stair is a nice way to descend to combine the previous climb of the twin stairs with the ascent of the complete or lower Hänzschelstiege. After the twin stairs, the Wolfstiege can be reached via the upper Affenstein promenade. Then it's back on the royal road to get into the lower Häntzschelstiege.

The Wolfsstiege connects the Upper Affenstein Promenade with the Königsweg.
The staircase is an old and rarely used staircase and probably once had wooden steps and a railing, both of which are no longer there. Not very easy climbing, especially when it is wet.
Next door is the also rarely used wolf trap (also a staircase).
Coming from the Häntzschelstiege on the upper Affenstein promenade, the Wolfsstiege runs down to the left, the Wollfsfalle is about 150m away.
Both stairs are ideal for a quick descent, for example to do the twins and the Häntzschelstiege one behind the other.

Currently difficult on the descent due to the many fallen trees. Definitely possible, but a challenge to find your way back and get past the trees.
