The New National Gallery was the last independent work of the great architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. With the glass upper hall of the museum, he completed his long-term occupation with the flowing, open space. The architect died shortly after the building was inaugurated. I stand to be corrected about the following, except the bit about locking your bike up, which is non-negotiable. I didn't actually recognise 'The Eisener Gustav' as a landmark and after some research I do not believe it is. 'The Eisener Gustav' seems to be a Comedy Theatre Piece performed at the Theatre am Potsdamer Platz (which is in the approximate location indicated). The comedy is named after a elderly gentleman who rode his horse from Berlin to Paris in 1928, you can google it.
