The Hochstein is part of the extensive Dahner Felsenland and lies on the southern edge of the small town. A path secured with railings leads up over the ridge and offers you fantastic views of the mountains and the other rock formations. During the Second World War, the citizens of Dahn hid in natural rock niches and caves on the Hochstein. The largest is the soldier's hut. Open on both sides, it offers you a beautiful view of the city.

The PK edge (much better secured than the E1/E2 in the topo suggests) is almost a must here, as are the great cracks. But there are also real botches here and there - e.g. B. The entrance to the Graue Wand should simply be bypassed from the left using the band. Above, in the eastern part, you almost automatically become a tourist attraction.
