A lock on the Polish-Belarusian border, the water border was created in 2009, after major renovation. Thanks to this, if you have a visa for Belarus, you can cross the border by water here and reach the Neman River. The name Kurzyniec comes from a Belarusian town that was destroyed during the war and no trace remains. On the Polish side, the lock is located near the town of Rudawka (Płaska commune).
