Anyone who loves open-air museums should not miss Mueß. Farmhouses from various centuries are on display here and convey the old rural culture of this country. Most of the houses come from the old village center. This village complex has been preserved for centuries.

The extensive Schwerin-Mueß open-air museum is located in the former fishing and farming village of Mueß on the southern shore of Lake Schwerin. The museum focuses on the way of life of the Mecklenburg rural population from the 17th to the beginning of the 20th century.

The approximately 3.5 hectare site includes 13 buildings and objects, such as art cottages, village blacksmiths, village school with village educational garden, farmhouses, barns, which invite you to visit.

Craft markets, music events, children's parties, seminars and theater performances take place regularly on the museum grounds.
