The discovery of Italian landscape on the top is amazing, snowy peaks, green slopes, cascades everywhere, flowers, a must do !!!! And there is 2 ways to go down to Italy, the trail directly down (but a big névé to avoid) or go up a bit to the ruins then an old path take you down with very nice views you don’t have from the other trail

The Col du Mont is a pass that connects the Tarentaise Valley, in France, with Valgrisenche, in Italy. It is located in the Alps, at an altitude of 2,636 or 2,639 meters, and is only accessible on foot.
On the French side, the pass is accessible on foot along a path that passes through the Archeboc refuge and the Mercuel valley. This route is used from the installation of the first inhabitants of the valley to pass towards the Valgrisenche.
