Probably the most beautiful section on the 3rd stage of the Ahrsteig. Sturdy shoes and a certain amount of surefootedness are required here. The most demanding passages are secured by steel cables.

In the case of Guilt, the meandering arches of the Ahr have uncovered the structure of the Variscan fold in several ways. These layers of rock can be seen very characteristically in the area of the Spicher Ley and are therefore not only an impressive natural monument for geologists. The viewing pavilion Spicher Ley offers a fantastic view over the idyllic village of Schuld in the Eifel region to the former tertiary volcano Aremberg, which rises prominently in the background.
