    Erected in 1582 as a watchtower to stem the trespassing of Varigotti in the territories of Noli, loyal to Genoa. Varigotti protested with the Spaniards asking for its demolition which was not carried out. Later the tower took the name of "Tower of the witches" as a shame against the women of Varigotti.
