The Orchheim Gate is located in the south. It looks very massive because the gate tower was shortened by one floor. The gate has a baroque archway on the field side and a gothic pointed arch on the city side. The interior is used as housing.

The Orchheimer Tor is one of the four remaining city gates and is located in the south wall. It was restored and we partly used as living space and unfortunately not to be visited from the inside. Further information at: unser-quartier.de/ev-bm/lexikon/orchheimer-tor

In the late Middle Ages, this gate tower was still known as "Ouchemer porzen", and has been remodeled several times. The Gothic archway on the city side is one of the few architectural remains from the time it was built. The archway on the field side dates from the Baroque period;
The Orchheim Gate was an important access to the "valley fortress" from the Jülich area;
The upper gate tower area is now used as a residence.
