Homburg Palace in Bad Homburg vor der Höhe was the residence of the Landgraves of Hesse-Homburg from 1622 onward, and after 1866, the summer residence of the Prussian kings and German emperors. Today, the palace serves as the headquarters of the administration of the State Palaces and Gardens of Hesse and is open to the public as a museum palace. The historic building also serves as the venue for the Bad Homburg Palace Concerts.

Homburg Castle was built around 1680. The complex is surrounded by a stately castle park. The hallmark of the castle is the "White Tower", the accessible keep. The palace complex is open to visitors all year round. A ticket including a guided tour costs 5 euros. If you only want to climb the tower, you pay 2 euros.

A walk through the beautiful old town with its half-timbered houses is also worthwhile. Here you will find many cozy cafes and restaurants.
