At the beginning of June we reach the summit of Beehive. We have beautiful weather with blue skies and a wonderful view in all directions. To the south we look out over 'Newport Cove', 'Sand Beach' and the wooded 'Otter Point'. To the southwest lies 'Gorham Mountain', a hill on the ridge and to the north we can see the Champlain, Dorr and Cadillac Mountains.

The Beehive summit sports sweeping views of Sand Beach, Great Head, and the Eastern face of Champlain Mountain. The large basking rocks and short pines near the summit make for a perfect scenic picnic / rest area. The summit is accessible via a two-way trail to the northwest for those who are not comfortable hiking the exposed Beehive Trail.
