The extravagant Stüdlhütte stands on the Fanatscharte like a landed UFO. The modern mountain hut has a total of more than 100 beds and is one of the starting points for climbing the Grossglockner. Although the hut is so big, you should definitely reserve in advance during the season.

Yürüyüş

Pretty easy ascent in the Ködnitztal from Lucknerhaus. From Lucknerhütte the trail becomes narrower, stony and beautiful. Longer and more challenging is the way to the hut through Teischnitztal. Upstairs you will find a magnificent view and good food at reasonable prices. The way is definitely worth it, even if you do not continue on the Glockner.

You can really enjoy the hut if you do the Glockner on the first day and celebrate the summit victory and healthy return there. When I was there the food was great and the Glockner wine was tasty. Be sure to stay the night and leave everything in the hut during the ascent that you do not need at the summit.
