Dwerp is one of the oldest villages in Brabant, as evidenced by the finds of Neolithic and Gallo-Roman origin. In the 9th and 10th centuries the town was part of the St. Peter's Church in Cologne.
Next to the colorful (!) former town hall (later library, now childcare) is a stone pillory from 1650.

Very old pillory next to the old town hall. 1 of the few in the region, in Braine le chateau there is also 1 on the village square.

Yürüyüş
Dwerp is located in a rural, hilly area. On the south side of it is the Hallerbos, where the bluebells in bloom attract thousands of tourists in the spring. Wood anemones, on the other hand, are more widespread throughout the territory.
