The Hildesheim silver find was discovered by soldiers on October 17th, 1868 while building a shooting range. ... The most recent examinations of the vessels have shown that they are actually Roman vessels from the time of the birth of Christ. It could also be proven that numerous vessels were made in one and the same workshop.

The Hildesheim silver find is now in the antiquities collection of the State Museums in Berlin.
