The stone-walled neo-renaissance colonnade was built in the years 1871-1881 according to a project by the Czech architect Josef Zítek. The attic of the colonnade is adorned with twelve allegorical sandstone statues that symbolize the individual months of the year. Five mineral springs gush inside the largest Karlovy Vary colonnade: the Mühlbrunnen, the Rusalka spring, the Prince Wenzel spring, the Libussa spring and the rock spring.
