Not sure that there's a good trail through the woods, we had a rough time going up through bushes. So, probably the best way to reach the top and get the best view is to take the turn from the main road from south -eastern side of quarry.

I agree with denystony - the best way to get to the top with a great view is to turn off the track (which is the southernmost)
