    The fortress of Angera dates back to the 11th century. Originally the fortress of Angera was a Visconti fortress. Currently the fortress belongs to the Borromea family.
    The view from the Angera fortress is sublime. From the panoramic terrace it is possible to admire Angera, Arona and a large part of Lake Maggiore. Inside the fortress, the hall of justice stands out for its beauty. Furthermore, you can appreciate a splendid antique lathe and the doll museum, which boasts more than 1,000 pieces, some of these dating back to the 18th century.
