The path is a little more demanding, but the turnoff is worth it. You reach a rest area with a wonderful view of the island of Öhe, the church tower of Schaprode and, if visibility is particularly good, you can not only see Hiddensee but also see the white lighthouse.

Despite some Komoot entries, the dike passage is no longer permitted from here. There is a barrier and behind it there is only the dike without an asphalt road. You could walk around, but that's not wanted.
