It's worth a visit because it offers uniquely beautiful views.
Geographically, Kehrwieder lies in the branching area of the Lower Elbe and is the northernmost part of Grasbrook. In 1532, it was incorporated into the fortified city along with the neighboring island of Wandrahm.
Kehrwieder is separated from the old town by the inner harbor and the Zollkanal (customs canal).
The boundary with the former port area runs along the street Am Sandtorkai.
