The path is a dead end, but it is definitely worth exploring this nature reserve, right on the Schlei. The path is usually easy to walk on, but it should get muddy in wet weather. Many insects and butterflies find their habitat here due to the blooming variety of plants. Signs indicate the species of birds that breed in the reeds and ask for consideration so that the brood is not disturbed. At the end there is a viewing platform for bird watching.

The nature reserve Reesholm is located on the 120 hectare peninsula. Many rare bird species breed here on the edge of the loop or use it to rest when traveling to or from the south. Galloway cattle, which graze happily here, ensure that the plant diversity is preserved.
